The RE/MAX system is designed to accommodate the real estate industry's top-performing agents. RE/MAX agents are able to earn the maximum percentage of commission per sale, as permitted by local law - rather than settling for the traditional 50/50 split which is offered by most real estate groups.
The structure of the RE/MAX system is not entirely dissimilar to that of many legal, medical and accounting firms, and other co-operatives, where members pay a minimal overhead for their place in the office. In exchange members are then able to reap the rewards of their work without sacrificing a large portion to their place of business.
Build your own personal profile - not someone else's
Since it was founded in 1973, RE/MAX has championed the idea that agents should be able to focus their marketing and advertising materials on building their own personal profile. Our agents choose how they do this, but they are strongly encouraged to use their photo and direct phone number, so that when their advertising generates a lead, they are the one who receives it. At RE/MAX, agents are able to keep their valuable database of clients to themselves; they do not have to share it with their office or principal.

Our salespeople have the opportunity to dictate their own workload, strategy and focus; all the while with the support of their office's principal, administrative staff and RE/MAX Australia. With RE/MAX you are in business for yourself, but not by yourself. The RE/MAX system is based on attracting the real estate industry's best and empowering them to continue working in the way which generates success for them. Unrestricted selling area
RE/MAX agents are free to list and sell property anywhere. They are not restricted to selling within the suburb where their office is located.
